In this home, the attention to detail is evident everywhere you look. As soon as you enter, you notice the arched entranced. Then, your eyes wander to the beautiful checkerboard ceiling. This flows throughout the living room and continues until the soft subtle lines of the double archways perched on top of the the endless white bookshelves to decorate beautifully with whatever your little heart desires! How much potential do these babies have for decorating!? Sandwiched between those oh so fun to decorate bookshelves, stands the stone ledge fireplace tying in all the colors effortlessly. The arched entrance, double arched bookshelves, gorgeous fireplace, and checkerboard ceiling make this home feel so warm and welcoming.
I love how the soft edges of these beautiful, tall, high gloss, white arches contrast with the harsh, rigid, thick crown molding of the checkerboard square ceiling. The stone ledge fireplace from floor to ceiling carries the gorgeous grey tones with the softness of the white and pulls it all together so beautifully. I can already imagine a beautiful light colored area rug underneath an overstuffed (is there such a thing?) comfy couch with some patterned arm chairs off to the side. And of course some amazing decorations on the bookshelves tying it all together.
Again, you can see where the checkboard ceiling not only contrasts with the arches in the fireplace, but also is first seen upon entering the home in this archway entrance. The arches are continued throughout providing a nice touch to the square checkboard details in the ceiling.

This arched entrance on the exterior of the home is a subtle welcoming of whats to come inside the home. When you’re building your home, think of all the ways to make you and your guests feel welcomed. A cozy home with the soft touches will almost always outweigh all the bells and whistles.
